Lauren Nelson won the title of Miss Oklahoma 2006 and then contacted Attebery to help her prepare for Miss America 2007.  This is the first of a four-part series. The first three parts are the lead up to Miss America and the 4th part is a sample of plans she used to maintain a fit lifestyle. This first month focused on her changing up her workouts that she had been doing prior to state to something that would help her do it more efficiently and eat enough healthy foods to recover properly and maximize results.  We knew we needed to add shape and tone while having her come in long and lean.  This workout was 4 days per week with general toning weights and some cardio most days per week as we worked into her initial phase of working her Three Phase prep and juggling the demands of a State-Titleholder and all their appearances. Her nutrition plan is a general guideline, and you may need to adjust it as well along with the fitness plan for your individual needs and abilities. Always check with your Physician before starting a fitness and nutrition program to make sure you are healthy and ready for the workouts.
